No matter the city, downtown living is never cheap. Bangor is no different.

After all, you're within walking distance of everything -- restaurants, shops, parks, concerts, theaters. Not to mention the people watching!  And, now that we think about it, forget about walking. All of this is just outside your door in this apartment right on West Market Square.

According to Zillow, this renovated 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment at 28 Broad Street is the most expensive in the city, with a monthly rental of $1,700. While that may be a hefty rent for Bangor, it's chump change compared to Portland.

The apartment features exposed brick walls, laundry, stainless-steel appliances, elevator access, storage and garage parking. Plus, you can have a pet if you want!

This is an old, historic building right in Downtown, so it has all the cool features that go along with that. If you like that historic element (and have the cash) this place could be for you.

Finally, just an observation on downtown. Have you noticed this summer that there are lots of out-of-state plates parked along downtown streets? Seriously, last night restaurants were packed with people, and it was Tuesday. This place would give you a front-row seat to the witness the growth going on in Downtown Bangor.
