The Most Popular Type of Stores in Maine

According to Yelp, Mainers like their tunes.

Yelp and Huffington post teamed up to create the a map of 'the most wildly popular type of store in each state.' How they figured this out is kind of mind boggling. Yelp found the most prevalent types of stores in each state. Next they looked at which store types had disproportionately high percentages in which states.

That's how they determined that here in the 207 we are all about those vinyl records. That's right, Maine is home to a lot more store featuring those wax records than anywhere else. Well, besides Rhode Island and Louisiana who also got vinyl record stores.

Fun fact: In 2014 vinyl sales spiked by 54%! Unfortunately industry experts think this is just a 'fad.'
