The votes are in!

Every year DJ Magazine collects thousands and thousands of votes in determining the worlds #1 DJ. The poll is the most respected in the DJ community because the poll collects the most worldwide votes. Votes from over 190 countries has found this year's top DJ in the world. Who is it? Hardwell!

Hardwell has become an international dance music icon in the few years he's been playing massive festivals like Ultra Music Festival and Tomorrowland. My friends and I have watched hours of his live performances on Youtube in my beat lab. We're slightly nuts. His Dutch electro-house sound has earned him over two million 'likes' on Facebook and over 900,000 followers on Twitter.

In 2010 he launched his own record label called Revealed Recordings. From the label, Hardwell has introduced the world to up and coming DJs like Dannic (#74 DJ in the world), Dyro (#30 DJ in the world) and W&W (#14 DJ in the world).

Z listeners, no worries some of our Z artists made the list!

Avicii - The 'Wake Me Up' producer stayed at #3 again this year.

David Guetta - David released a few mega-hits this year however, he sliped from #4 DJ in the world to #5.

Afrojack - Like Avicii, Afrojack stayed put this year at #9. He has a new tune called 'The Spark' (above) that will surely make waves soon.

Skrillex - His hair do seems to be more popular than his tunes as he slipped to #11.

Calvin Harris - It was a great year for Mr. Harris as he jumped up 16 spots this year to #15.

Daft Punk - After years of nothing for new tunes, Daft Punk landed at #22.
