The Age of Revivals spurred along by the likes of Netflix’s Fuller House or whatever NBC drags out of the dumpster next has many hopeful that Friends will finally get its oft-discussed reunion. Nope! Co-creator Marta Kauffman bluntly states “reunions suck,” at last putting an end to speculation.

SNL will Rock Studio 8H once again this weekend in returning Furious 7 star Dwayne Johnson to the stage, but April may yet have even more gold in mind. Birdman star Michael Keaton will return to SNL as our first April host, followed by the unstoppable juggernaut of Empire breakout Taraji P. Henson.

Just when it seemed enough time had past that NBC might simply have forgotten its ill-advised ‘Heroes’ revival ‘Heroes Reborn,’ someone went and reminded them. Following the lone casting of original series star Jack Coleman, the peacock now reports that ‘Chuck’ star Zachary Levi will lead the new incarnation of Tim Kring’s ‘Heroes’ in a major role.

The ongoing firestorm against Bill Cosby has only swelled in recent weeks, as more and more allegations of rape emerge against the once-revered comedian, so it wasn’t any surprise that Netflix would opt to discard the November 28 release of a new Cosby standup special. Now, NBC has expectedly followed suit by abandoning development plans for a new Cosby sitcom for 2015.

As if we hadn't seen 'The Hunger Games' or 'True Detective' mocked enough, 'SNL' will take an official turn with one of the major stars. Woody Harrelson has been reaped from the existing pool of victors to host 'SNL' a third time later on in November, with fellow repeat star and musical guest Kendrick Lamar.

Although 'SNL' previously parodied all the movie adaptations of the most obscure young-adult novels, all past sketches have nothing on 'The Group Hopper.' It's one thing to dress the cast in 'Hunger Games' outfits and make fun of one of the biggest movie franchises in the world. It's another thing altogether to create a fake movie trailer for a fake new franchise and make it seem strangely plausible while eviscerating every movie of this kind out there.

These days 'SNL' movies are a bit few and far between (come on, 'MacGruber 2'!), but at least some of their success lives on with legendary classics like 'Wayne's World or 'The Blues Brothers.' Now more than ever we've seen TV looking to classic films of the '80s and '90s for the next great small screen series idea, whether by reboot or sequel, but a proposed 'Say Anything' TV sequel may have trouble getting its boombox up in the air. NBC has begun development of a potential followup to the classic 1989 Cameron Crowe film, though Crowe is outspokenly none-too-pleased about it.

Whether the 'SNL' shakeups of season 40 have truly come to a close or not, this Saturday will see 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and 'Parks and Recreation' star Chris Pratt kicking off the premiere in Star-Lord style.
