State Police say the two bodies found in a Hebron home this week were of a father and daughter.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the deaths were likely the result of a murder/suicide. Investigators say it appears that 56-year-old Daniel Randall shot and killed his daughter, 27-year-old Claire Randall, before turning the gun on himself. Claire's body was found in a bedroom, while Daniel's was discovered on the porch, with a shotgun nearby.

Mr. Randall had been released from an alcohol treatment facility this week and the family had moved to Maine earlier in the year from Rhode Island. Detectives and evidence technicians will on the scene again today. Autopsies are scheduled for later this morning at the State Medical Examiner's office in Augusta.
