Stolen Telephone Lines in Greenbush Results in Three Arrests
Three men are facing charges in connection with the theft of telephone service lines in Greenbush. The replacements costs for the cables exceeds $30,000.00.
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s office said in a press release today that three men have been charged in connection to the thefts that happened in the early morning hours of December 10th, 2013, January 6th, 2014, and January 21st, 2014.
Multiple suspects cut down and remove several hundred feet of telephone service lines from utility poles along Rte #2 in Greenbush, just north of the Milford town line. The theft results in over 200 Greenbush residents losing telephone service for extended periods of time, including the ability to access 911. As part of an extensive investigation, detectives, sheriff’s deputies, and members of the Maine State Police executed several search warrants in Greenbush on Friday, resulting in
the following arrests:
- Jesse Buxton, 27 of Greenbush
- Darrian Daye, 20 of West Baldwin
- Sean McCurdy, 27 of Greenbush
Daye and McCurdy, who were arrested in the greater Portland area, are being held at the Penobscot County Jail on $25,000 cash bail. Buxton was release on $2,500 bail and is expected to appear in court in March.
