The man who's credited with creating the zombie film genre, George A Romero passed away Sunday. Stephen King took to social media to honor his 'favorite collaborator.' Did you know Romero directed a film which would become a career milestone for King?

In 1968 George A Romero released Night of the Living Dead. The film became a cult classic as the start of the zombie film genre. He'd go on to release other zombie flicks like Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Land of the Dead, Diary of the Dead and Survival of the Dead throughout his directing career.
