The most famous person to ever live in Bangor, wanted everyone to know that he doesn't live in "Hollyweird"

If you ever want to see the bottom of the barrel when it comes to social media. look no further than X, or as I call it, "The Artist Formerly Known As Twitter"

Pretty much anything goes on that platform, so when you are on it, you can expect to see people rip each other apart It also is a forum for celebrities to clap back at comments that they don't care for, and "The King of Horror" is no stranger to this.

Stephen King isn't shy when it comes to voicing his opinions on things, which I guess is kind of the point of Twitter...uh I mean X. However, when you do that, you will get some serious blowback.

King responded to a tweet, which prompted another response, which in turn, caused him to amplify his point, which included him mentioning that he is not part of the Hollywood "elite", and in fact lives in rural Maine. That statement could be disputed, since he is never at his home in Bangor, and it has been turned into a historical museum. Either way, he has always been proud of the fact that he is a Mainer.

Sit back and enjoy the comments:

Maine is pretty selfish.

it's all ME, ME, ME.

Three Year Letterman

Maine is a northeastern state and thus not rural, Steve
Jack Lombardi II

Steve, you're a Leftwing propagandist who's forgotten what it's like to decide where to put your last $20.00 bill.

In your overpriced gas tank or your overpriced grocery bill.

And, spare me your logistically metric.

Dennis Hendrickson

What about the multi million dollar mansion in Sarasota?

Dadicus

Nonetheless, you speak from an ivory tower.

Matty H

You can't attack SK on this front. He's given back millions of dollars to local Maine causes, incl. women's collegiate sports, and education. I played against him in a casual game of softball in Maine in the early 1990s. He talked a good game, but I felt no threat there. Maybe…

Y’all some clowns leave @StephenKing alone. The guy is a legend. Problem with the world. Everyone always saying Happy New Year it’s gonna be great but look at the hate. It’s like we still in 2023.

How many contracts for movie adaptations do you have?

He’s in such denial of his world and it’s so hilariously obvious

John Devlin

Except when it s cold..then you go to Florida, right?

Ty’s Tough Talk

You’re not helping yourself. You’re a famous author. You’re absolutely a member of the proverbial class that he is mentioning.

Your rural life “removed” life in Maine bolstered by your fortune from being a celebrity is in fact the ivory tower he is talking about

SeldenGADawgs

And you bought your mansion thru Hollyweird. Give us a break

Colette Harrington

How much money is in your bank account, Stephen? Hilariously funny when elitists out themselves. Create an ivory tower in Maine makes you different?

People Posing In Front Of Stephen King's House

On any given day, you can see lots of people heading to West Broadway in Bangor, to get a glimpse at the home of the legendary author.
