These aren't your average snowmen.

The Camden Winterfest is in it's final weeks. The annual event runs from January 3rd, through the U.S. National Toboggan Championships February 6-8. Preperations are being made for next week's Snow Sculpture Competition on January 31st.

The event works in conjunction with the U.S. National Snow Sculpting Competition. The competition is held annually in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The winning team will travel to the U.S. Snow Sculpting Nationals in winter of 2016 to rep the 207.

Using machines from the Camden Snow Bowl, snow is trucked to the town’s Village Green. Sheets of plywood are made into wooden forms, which snow is packed down into. After 3 days of hardening the eight-foot blocks are ready to be sculpted.

The winners will be announced at noon on February 1st.

Entry forms can be downloaded from the Winterfest website.
