Smoke from the wildfires out West will be hazing up the skies in Maine again.

Over the weekend skies over northern Maine where hazy from smoke carried by high atmospheric winds. Most wouldn't notice the smoke. The most pronounced feature was the vibrant red sunsets from the sun refracting off the smoke.

That smoke will return to Maine later today and continue into Wednesday. Smoke levels Wednesday will be high enough for the Maine Department of Environmental Protection to issue a 'moderate' air quality alert.

Those sensitive to the smoke exposure should avoid heavy exertion. Watch for couching and shortness of breath. At times the smoke may be thick enough for folks to smell it.

Their are currently 32 wildfires burning out West.
