A small earthquake shook Maine today.



The Waldo County Emergency Management Agency tweeted that
Weston Observatory at Boston College recorded a 2.1 magnitude quake, centered in
Monroe, about 20 miles southwest of Bangor.

According to Weston Observatory on May 26 a 1.8 magnitude quake shook the area southeast of Bucksport.

Before today, the last recorded quake in Maine was June 1 near Dover-Foxcroft.
