Police were kept busy with many vehicle accidents on Saturday that left several people injured.

In the town of Arundel, a young woman was seriously hurt when her car struck an ambulance on the turnpike at around 6:30 p.m. 47-year-old Chriaashawn Young-Rice from Charlotte, North Carolina was trying to pass the ambulance at the time. Young-Rice is being treated at the hospital for head injuries. The two ambulance attendants, who were not transporting a patient, were not injured.

In the town of Lebanon, a motorcycle accident left a Farmington, New Hampshire man in critical condition. State Troopers say the motorcycle, driven by 40-year-old Randall Goslin, struck a utility pole just after 7:00 Saturday night on Route 202, near the New Hampshire state line. Goslin was thrown several feet and landed on the adjacent River Road. Police say speed and alcohol are likely factors in the crash.

Just before midnight on Friday, State and Portland Police responded to a report of a rollover crash at mile marker 7 northbound on I-295 in Portland. Police say 30-year-old Jabril Mohamud of Portland was trapped inside his 4-door Hyundai sedan. The vehicle had been involved in a separate crash minutes before on the Exit 7 departing ramp and had fled the scene. When the sedan entered the interstate, it became airborne and landed on its roof in the northbound lanes of Tukeys Bridge. At last report, he was in critical condition.
