A 24-year-old Brewer veteran who died Oct. 29 following a dirt bike accident in North Carolina will be laid to rest on Sunday.

Senior Airman Earl Grover Jr. served with the 4th Equipment Maintenance Squadron in Greenville, North Carolina. He was a 2011 Brewer High School graduate.

Grover was injured during an off-road motorcycle accident at a motocross park in Edgecombe County, according to a statement from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

He was transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC, where he received emergency medical services before being pronounced dead.

Friends, family and members of the military planned to gather along Center Street in Bangor Friday night as his body was transported to Brookings Smith Funeral Home.

A viewing for family and friends was scheduled for Saturday night. His funeral is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, followed by a celebration of life at the reception hall next door.

His family has set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for funeral expenses.
