Want a lil piece of Bangor history in your home?

The old auditorium is coming down but you can still cherish a piece of Bangor history forever. The old seats from the Bangor Auditorium will be going on sale with the proceeds going to building a basketball hall of fame in the concourse of the new Cross Center.

Before the demolition of the auditorium began, volunteers from Penobscot Job Corps and the United Technologies Center unbolted 300 seats. The seats where installed in way that they cold only be unbolted in pairs. That means you get two seats with your purchase. Score! They also unbolted boards from the bleachers.

Seat pairs will be sold for $25 a seat at the Bass Park complex, on Friday, June 21st from 1-6PM and Saturday June 22nd from 8AM-1PM. Seats will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Requests for specific seat numbers can't be accommodated. Payments need to be made in cash or check.
