Search Launched for Missing 18-Year-Old Kayaker [UPDATE]

An 18-year-old who went missing while kayaking near Swan's Island has been found, safe and sound.. Jackson Day hadn't been seen since around 10:00 Tuesday morning.

The Press Herald reports that Day was found safe near Mackerel Cove, off Swan's Island. The search was launched after he failed to return home from a day trip by 8:30 Tuesday night. Day had been seen in an 8-foot yellow kayak at the Swan's Island Ferry Terminal, but not since. A search was launched, with help from the Maine Marine Patrol and the Hancock County Sheriff's Office.
