Nearly forty years after his death, Elvis Presley is still getting some parents in Utah “All Shook Up” over lyrics they say are too sexual for students to perform in their high school musical. The complaints that ultimately led the school administration to ban the production.

Earlier this week, officials from the Jordan School District made the decision to not allow Herriman High School’s Shakespearean production of  “All Shook Up” to go on, for fear that some of the material may be too sexually driven for a community performance.

Have these people listened to the radio since 1956?

However, representatives from the school say there are currently some amendments being made to the production in order to develop a musical that adheres more to the district’s “community values.”

Wow! We haven’t been this sensitive since we were 15-years-old.

Jordan School District officials say they now require students to get permission from their parents, as well as drama teachers, to seek approval for any production not on the "approved" list. So, we’re guessing that a stage performance of ‘Debbie Does Dallas’ set to Richard Wagner’s 'Ride of the Valkyries' is out of the question?
