Last week when we had a chance to interview Mr. Cosby for the second time, I was blown away. The man is not only hilarious, he's genuine. He was a pleasure to interview. He didn't seem irritated or rushed like some celebrities do during interviews.

Last night I had the opportunity to meet him in person. Bill invited me to come in and see him before the show with my friends and family. When we entered his dressing room, he was sitting on a leather sofa with a blanket on his lap and no shoes on. It was so warm and inviting. He didn't seem like a celebrity at all. Just Bill, a warm hearted, humble human being.

We brought him raspberry chocolates from Specialty Sweets as promised. I even had the chance to bring Eliza and Wade and their family from Specialty Sweets with me to meet him too! They were just as thrilled as I was to meet him!

Words cannot express how amazing meeting him was. He asked me to sit next to him on the sofa. He held my hand and didn't seem to want to let it go. He asked my Dad to come closer to him. He asked my Dad if he introduced me to comedy. My Dad told Bill that it was him and my Mother who watched The Cosby Show with me night after night. He thanked him for the laughter and the wonderful memories in our living room. The exchange between Mr. Cosby and my Dad was my favorite of the night. I honestly could hardly hold back my tears. It was beautiful.

I'm also very impressed by his memory. I told him about my friends and family on the phone earlier in the week. I mentioned that my soon-to-be stepdaughter is 23 and due to have her second baby in two weeks. When Ariel sat next to him he immediately said, "You're 23!" He sat with Ariel for some photos with her and her adorable baby bump and said, "That's not mine!" It was priceless! He also told her that he would start the show by talking about her, and he did!

Bill also took time to acknowledge the importance of family and friendship. He seemed so moved by the fact that I brought my incredible friends and their family along with me for this experience. The memories of our fifteen minutes with Bill Cosby will last a lifetime. It makes my heart so full and happy that my friends Mary and Lacy and their husbands were able to be there.

The awesome thing is, Bill was a part of each of our lives in one way or another. The ages in that room spanned from seven to fifty-four and each of us felt close to him. We've all been moved by something he said and have been in stitches with laughter because of something he said. That is a true legend.

I don't mean to talk all about meeting him and forget about the show. The show was amazing! The laughter bounced off the walls of the Cross Insurance Center. Everyone was having a great time. He is an incredible storyteller and comedian. He was on stage much longer than expected. He told us during our interview that it would be about an hour and a half. He had the audience engaged and laughing for two hours! It was pretty cute how near the end he had to ask someone up front what time it was. He wasn't going to stop his routine just because his time was up. It came to a very natural and organic ending. What a fabulous evening of comedy for Bangor!

Thank you, Bill! I hope we meet again! I'll cherish these photos and the memories of the evening forever. It's not everyday that you kiss Bill Cosby on the cheek and he makes that super adorable 'a girl just kissed my face,' the same face he always made when Claire kissed him on The Cosby Show. It was sweet. He nuzzled his head into me and said, “Tastes like chocolate?” We both chuckled.
