Ruby Tuesday Closes Bangor Mall Restaurant

Ruby Tuesday closed its Bangor Mall location Sunday.

The closure comes after the restaurant chain on Friday announced it would close 95 locations nationwide as part of a reorganization.

A notice on the door of the Bangor restaurant read: "This Location Has Closed. Please visit us at Brewer Location. We look forward to seeing you there!"

Ruby Tuesday operates another restaurant on Wilson Street in Brewer.

A call to the Bangor restaurant on Sunday was sent directly to a recorded message saying no one was available. Google on Monday listed the Bangor location as "permanently closed."

An employee at the Brewer restaurant said they could not comment on the closure of the Bangor location. A call to the corporate spokesperson was not immediately returned Sunday evening.

It is the second chain restaurant to close in Bangor this summer. In June, Bugaboo Creek closed its Bangor location on Bangor Mall Boulevard.

While those restaurants have closed, more have opened near the Bangor Mall. In April, Elevation Burger opened its doors on Stillwater Avenue. The Chick-fil-A building is currently under construction.
