Man Under Arrest After Palmyra Walmart Standoff [UPDATE]
[UPDATE] A 28-year-old Corinna man is under arrest after a standoff at Walmart in Palmyra, according to police.
Maine State Police spokesman Stephen McCausland issued a release shortly after noon on Friday saying the store had been locked down as police deal with a police emergency of a man, whom police have not identified, inside a vehicle in the parking lot.
The Kennebec Journal is reporting that there is a suicidal person with a gun in the parking lot.
McCausland said a motel next door had been evacuated.
Information is still coming in, and we'll have more details when available.
