Moments after Reese Witherspoon's husband Jim Toth was pinched for driving under the influence and Witherspoon was arrested for sassing an officer, she was videotaped in handcuffs -- and not in the way people would pay good money to see.

We're guessing this will most likely put a snag in her status as America's Sweetheart.

The short, silent surveillance video that surfaced online today (via TMZ, naturally) features a cooperative Witherspoon being uncuffed before being led into an Atlanta police station for booking.

This was, of course, shortly after she told the arresting officer, "You're about to find out who I am ... You are going to be on national news." But let's be honest, there are worse things in life than being the officer who arrested Reese Witherspoon.

As a result of the whole mess, Toth might check in to rehab, while Witherspoon has since apologized for her rare diva-like behavior and is now avoiding microphones and cameras.
