Alternative rockers Queens of the Stone Age will play at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor on Saturday, July 12.

The band, which formed in 1996, is touring in support of their album "Like Clockwork," the band's first full length collection of all new material since 2007's "Era Vulgaris."

The album earned them three nominations at this year’s Grammys: Best Rock Album (…Like Clockwork); Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical; and Best Rock Performance ("My God Is The Sun").

Queens front man Josh Homme performed at this year's Grammys with an all-star band including Queens' former drummer Dave Grohl, but the performance was cut short because of time constraints. The change did not sit well with Homme.

Don't worry, Josh. You and the guys can have as much time as you want at the Cross Insurance Center!

A bunch of our ZIP Club members entered to win tickets this week, so we drew five names, each of whom gets two (2) tickets to the show! Without further ado, here they are:

  • Jennifer Barnes of Corinth
  • Colette Simmons of Charleston
  • Crystal Perkins of Skowhegan
  • Danielle Waldron of Portland
  • Suzanne Duval of Bangor
