The 'Pretty Little Liars' cast has something to celebrate: Their summer finale episode, 'Now You See Me, Now You Don't,' was the most highly tweeted about episode in television history.

According to an ABC Family press release (via Huffington Post), the episode generated 1.9 million tweets by 637,000 users and averaged 70,000 tweets per minute during the last seconds of the episode.

Most likely because it rose to some 'Gossip Girl'/Dan Humphrey level of shenanigans during the episode's final reveal when (SPOILER ALERT!) English teacher Ezra Fitz revealed himself to be "A," or somehow in league with the A Team.

The show also created 38 "unique trending topics" that evening, with 715,000 tweets devoted to Mr. Fitz (played by Ian Harding) alone, and the hashtag #EzraisA trending more than 12 hours after the fact.

So while it's not quite 'Sharknado' levels of excitement, 'PLL' did beat out the shocking Red Wedding event in 'Game of Thrones,' which at the time garnered 241,000 tweets --  you know, despite the fact that they brutally killed three main characters, a direwolf and an unborn baby.

'Pretty Little Liars' will return with a Halloween episode, 'Grave New World,' on Oct. 22, which will pick up where the finale left off. It will be immediately followed by the premiere of the show's mysterious spin-off series, 'Ravenswood.'
