Pretty Lights Coming to UMaine

The Alfond Arena will be WOMP WOMPIN'!

I'm nerding out! Electronic producer Derek Smith, AKA Pretty Lights, is set to preform at Alfond Arena September 20th!

Pretty Lights has played all the big EDM festivals including Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Camp Bisco and Coachella.

Some say electronic music 'is just noise made on a computer.' Not the case with Pretty Lights. I compare Pretty Lights as a modern day Pink Floyd. The Floyd was incredible at creating sounds and samples in their music, intensely in 'The Dark Side of the Moon' album. Just as Pink Floyd, Pretty Lights uses tape decks, bizarre instruments and record loops to create sounds that make up his glitch-hop/dubstep sound.
