Portland Among Cities with the Highest Holiday Budget Average- Do You Think It’s Too Much? [POLL]

It's no where near the top average of $2,886 in Palo Alto, CA. But Portland does spend more on average than larger cities like Houston, TX! 

Using income data collected for 563 cities WalletHub has determined the cities with the largest holiday budgets. Out of those 563, Portland was found in the 216th spot. Portland residents spend an average of $888 during this season.

You can see on the map above the blue dots indicating a larger holiday budget being spent. People are often comparing Maine's Portland to the city with the same name in Oregon. I was surprised to see although both Portland's have similar shade of blue dots over their city, but statistics show Portland, ME actually spends about $20 more.
