Police on Monday released the names of those involved in a crash in Thorndike that sent eight people to the hospital Sunday.

Seven of the injured were students from the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, according to a news release from Maine State Police.
The van carrying the students attempted to turn from Route 220 onto the Crosby Brook Road and into the path of the second, southbound van, police said in an earlier release.

Police say Benjamin Stowe, 64, of  Pennsylvania taken to Waldo General Hospital with wrist and leg injuries.

Connor O’Brien, 21, of Massachusetts was driving the northbound College of the Atlantic van.

A passenger, Julia Clemens, 25, was airlifted to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. The names of the other injured students are as follows: Leigh Rinkan, 18, Abigail Jackson, 20, Amber Wolfe, 20, Paige Hill, 23, Alijah Santenr, 19, Gillian Welch, 20, and Teegan Rose, 19.

The accident is under investigation.
