State Police are asking for the public’s helping in locating a man who ran off from Troopers last night in Chelsea, still in handcuffs.

Troopers are looking for Jason Langdon (34), who was last seen near Overlook Drive in West Gardner about 11:30PM Wednesday.

Earlier that day Troopers had stopped the car Langdon was driving along Route 9 in Chelsea. He gave the Trooper a fake name, was arrested, put in handcuffs and placed in the cruiser. Langdon then bolted from the car and ran off into the woods, losing one shoe along the way. Troopers and a State Police canine searched the area with no success. About five hours later, he was reportedly seen in West Gardiner by a resident.  Troopers also searched that area with no luck.

Langdon is a transient with no permanent address. He’s 5’ 5” tall, weighs 135 lbs, and has brown hair and green eyes. He is also wanted on charges from Colorado and Florida. Anyone with information of his whereabouts is asked to call State Police in Augusta at (207) 624-7076 or 911.
