Police are asking for the public's help locating a suspect who stole a firearm from a vehicle. The victim was a hunter.

The burglary happened on Wednesday, November 12th between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. on the Southgate Road, near the Birch Street Landing. Old Town Police Sergeant Michael Hashey says a Benelli pump action shotgun, clothing, and other hunting equipment was stolen from a hunter's vehicle.

The suspect had to break a window in the locked vehicle in order to get in. Although the vehicle's alarm went off, they got away. Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to call the Old Town Police at 827-3984.
