Bangor Police have arrested a man for allegedly stabbing another man Saturday afternoon in Downtown Bangor.

Sergeant Tim Cotton says police were called to Pickering Square just after 5:00 to the report of a man that had been stabbed. Officers found a 20-year-old man who was taken by Bangor Fire Ambulance to Eastern Maine Medical Center, where he's being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Arrested in connection with the incident was 20-year-old Andrew Langley of Bangor. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail and was charged with Aggravated Assault, which is a class B crime.

Police say the investigation is on-going. Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to contact the Bangor Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division. Police say it was not a random act and there is no threat to the public.
