One Direction fans have had their sights set on a collaboration with Pharrell Williams ever since Liam Payne was spotted hanging out with Pharrell last summer. Now, the ‘Get Lucky’ singer is inciting that hope once again.

Pharrell recently performed in 1D’s neck of the woods, at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball in London. According to Sugarscape, he opened up about his studio hangouts with the boy band member.

“Liam stopped by my studio,” Pharrell shared. “I think he’s just genuinely curious about music. We have that in common. He’s always wanting to see what’s new and what’s next.”

As far as a collaboration goes, the ‘Happy’ star sounds like he’d be down. “Why not? Of course,” he said. “But I suppose they already have five voices — I don’t know if they need an extra one.”

Maybe not, but Pharrell’s list of producer credits is seriously diverse and impressive, so it’s not hard to imagine he could help produce an awesome track for the 1D boys.

Liam, Harry, Zayn, Louis and Niall are currently working on their fourth and as yet untitled studio album, making it the perfect time to get on board with Pharrell. Come on, guys, make it happen!
