A man from Woodville is dead after his ATV crashed Monday morning on a dirt logging road, according to police.

John M. Boucher, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Game wardens say Boucher failed to negotiate a 90-degree turn at the bottom of a hill. The ATV came to rest on Boucher after striking a large rock. Boucher was not wearing a helmet.

The incident took place across the road from Shaw Bros. Construction in Woodville.

Wardens say speed appears to be a contributing factor in this crash.

The body was transported to Clay Funeral Home in Lincoln. This incident is still under investigation.
