Brewer Police say a 75-year-old woman was struck by a passing car on Wilson Street in Brewer on Tuesday.

The incident happened just after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Bangor Savings Bank. Brewer Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of a pedestrian-involved accident. 75-year-old Felicia King of Brewer was taken to the hospital as a result of that crash. Police say her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

The investigation into the crash revealed that a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Tammy Webster of Brewer struck King. Police say drugs and alcohol were not involved in the accident. But a combination of decreased visibility due to the glare of the sun and the fact that King was not in a crosswalk are said to have been contributing factors.

No charges have been filed.
