Pedestrian Hospitalized After Being Hit By Car [UPDATE]
Police have released the identity of a 55-year-old man who was hospitalized after being struck by a car. Police say the incident happened in front of a convenience store.
Bangor Police Lieutenant Cathy Rumsey said in a press release that Timothy Gotto, age 55 of Bangor, was hit just after 5 o'clock Monday afternoon. The pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck near 1105 Hammond Street, which is Leadbetter's Super Stop and was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of the pickup, 27-year-old Desiree Pond of Hermon, was not hurt.
The Bangor Police Department's patrol division, Criminal Investigations Division, and Accident Reconstruction team are working together on this investigation.
