It was a sad night in my bathroom...

Wednesday the Bruins sadly where eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs, thus marking the end of my playoff beard. Even though it's acceptable to trim one's playoff beard after a loosing a game, I didn't. I proudly cultivated this beard from April 18th, to May 14th. Farewell my friend.

The superstitious tradition of playoff beards is believed to have been started in the 1980's by the New York Islanders. Players and fans are not to shave until they win the Stanley Cup, or are eliminated. You may trim your beard after the loss of a game as a way of changing the team's luck.
