The big buzz surrounding 'Parks and Recreation' this week stems from this Thursday's wedding event between Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott) and Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), somewhat strangely divided between this week and last week's "Emergency Response," but that isn't the only big Pawnee news. We've learned that recent 'Justified' and 'Portlandia' guest star Patton Oswalt will appear in a coming episode, directed by none other than Leslie Knope herself, Amy Poehler! Find out what brings Patton Oswalt to 'Parks and Recreation's Pawnee inside!

'Parks and Recreation's Leslie Knope will get a bit of a poke following this Thursday's wedding event episode "Leslie and Ben," but the real thorn in her side will be the upcoming guest appearance from comedian Patton Oswalt! According to TVLine, Oswalt will appear in an upcoming episode (to be directed by Amy Poehler herself) as a town citizen who objects to Leslie making changes to the shockingly dated Pawnee charter, believing life was better during the town's 1817 founding, and its original writers geniuses.

The former 'King of Queens' star has been making the TV rounds of late, appearing on 'Justified' as hapless Constable Bob Sweeney, as well as a recent turn in IFC's 'Portlandia.' Oswalt joins a 'Parks and Recreation' season that includes the likes of Jason Schwartzman, ‘SNL‘s’ Jenny Slate, Newt Gingrich, Joe Biden, Lucy Lawless, Christie Brinkley, ‘Breaking Bad‘s’ Jonathan Banks and Glenn Headly.

Well, what say you? Are you excited to see Patton Oswalt come to Pawnee? Will you tune in for Ben and Leslie's 'Parks and Recreation' wedding this Thursday?
