The City of Bangor is considering a plan to install parking kiosks downtown.

WABI-TV5 Reports nine kiosks could be placed downtown and drivers would be charged a dollar an hour to park their vehicles.

City leaders say the plan could generate tens of thousands of dollars in revenue each year.

Parking at night and on weekends would be free.

The Downtown Parking Advisory Committee will discuss the plan with the Business and Economic Development Committee next week.
