A song covered by a young woman injured in a motorcycle/car collision over the weekend shows off her amazing voice and spirit.

Breanne McIntyre and her boyfriend, John Gerald, are both hospitalized after a terrible crash in Orrington on Sunday. The motorcycle driven by Gerald hit a car nearly head-on while traveling on Route 15. John lost a portion of one leg in the crash, and Breanne suffered a broken leg and a traumatic head injury.

At last report, she was being kept sedated. John's injury could have been much worse if not for the quick-thinking of the car's driver who used his Army training to apply a tourniquet to the leg.

Gofundme pages have been set up for both Breanne and John, to help with the mounting medical expenses, and the public is responding. While I don't know Breanne, my thoughts are with her, John, and their families.

A barbecue also is being held in Carmel on Saturday, June 18 to benefit John and Breanne as they face large medical bills. You can learn more about that event here.

The video shows what a beautiful and talented young woman she is as she covers the Jason Mraz song, "I Won't Give Up." We're all pulling for you, Breanne!
