Orono Man Faces Charge of Attempted Murder as Victim Fights for Life
A 50-year-old man fights for his life after being stabbed multiple times and the man accused in the attack is charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
Orono police were called to a boarding house on Park Street yesterday afternoon to a report of a stabbing in progress.
Chief Ewing says says 21-year-old Dorian Guerin is charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
Chief Ewing says they have not been able to talk to the victim yet so they’re not exactly sure what lead up to the fight. He says there were no indications that drugs or alcohol played a role in the attack.
According to police Guerin's mother lives with the victim and Guerin had been staying with them for the past several days.
Guerin is expected to make his first court appearance this afternoon.
