For the fourth time this year, someone has vandalized the Orono Bog Boardwalk after hours.

Nearly a dozen railings were either kicked or torn off the boardwalk. Some of those railings were then thrown into the bog. Boardwalk Director Jim Bird told WABI-TV that the boardwalk usually sees about 1 to 2 cases of vandalism per year, so it's frustrating that this is the 4th instance since May. He said it would only take about an hour to replace the railings, but he just doesn't understand why people keep causing the damage.

Bangor Police are investigating the vandalism they say happened sometime after 6:30 Wednesday night, after the person who closes the boardwalk did their final walk through. Anyone with information is asked to call the Bangor Police at 947-7384.
