One person has been seriously injured after a vehicle/dump truck collsion. The accident has caused traffic to back up on Interstate 95.

Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland says the accident happened at mile 113 on I-95 in Augusta, just north of the third Augusta exit. A significant traffic backup was reported just before 1:00 in the Northbound lanes and should continue for much of the afternoon. Traffic is said to be moving at a crawl. Northbound motorists are advised to detour around the interstate in the Augusta area.

There's no word on how the accident happened or how badly the person was injured. The Lifeflight helicopter was dispatched to fly them to the hospital.
