Police say four people were arrested on drug charges during a probation check at an Old Town home on Friday.

Miller says a needle loaded with meth and a needle loaded with heroin were found in Smith’s bedroom. Smith was charged with unlawful possession of a schedule W drug and violation of conditional release.

Paul Comer and Brittney Simmons, both of Connecticut, were also in Smith's home at the time. Miller says 60 individual packets of heroin and cocaine and some prescription pills were seized from Comer. The two were charged with aggravated trafficking of a schedule W drug and unlawful possession of schedule W drug.

Police also say they recovered a bag containing 300 individual packets of heroin and 24 grams of cocaine. Miller says the bag belonged to Brittney Simmons, who was charged with aggravated trafficking of a schedule W drug and unlawful possession of schedule W drug.

Peter Garland, who was also in the residence, admitted to furnishing prescription pills.
