Being a Wraith-powered assassin, Talion won't be needing any co-op help in Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor.

Polygon reports that Monolith Production has officially announced on its Twitter that Shadow of Mordor is a complete, single-player title and features no type of multiplayer co-op. A Monolith representative on the company's Twitter has said "no co-op... Shadow of Mordor is being crafted wholly as a single-player experience".

Given the in-depth campaign we have seen in Shadow of Mordor, this should be no surprise. Shadow of Mordor has you playing as a ranger of Gondor who died near the Black Gates and was brought back with the powers of a Ringwraith in order to eliminate and dismantle the ranks of Mordor's army.

Talion will take the war to Sauron once Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is released on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC later this year.
