No IHOP- So, What Do We Need? [POLL]

Bangor is shocked now that the IHOP we had all been to told to anticipate is actually not on IHOP's radar.

Initially, it was reported that a Bangor City Council meeting had announced approval for a stand alone building near the Rodeway Inn on the Odlin Road.  It was reported that the new building would be an IHOP.

When news broke to the Bangor area, many people were excited about the chain making it's way north of Augusta.  There was much rejoicing.

Thursday, however, IHOP representatives told the Bangor Daily News that there were no plans to build a restaurant.

And now, Bangor is despondent, perhaps in a fugue of confusion mixed with held over adrenaline from the initial news.

Even with the reporting of the initial report, social media had it's suggestions of other chains to have in the Bangor area.
