Ed Sheeran has learned a thing or two from his BFF Taylor Swift. Most notably, writing songs about famous ex-lovers.

We’ve all heard the rumors swirling around the Brit’s scathing song ‘Don’t’ — with most fingers pointing to Ellie Goulding as his inspiration — but there’s another tune on his hit sophomore album, ‘X,’ that is linked to a former flame.

Nina Nesbitt, a 19-year-old Scottish singer-songwriter, is the girl behind appropriately-titled track number five, ‘Nina.’

This time, the ‘Sing’ star was kind enough to give some advance notice. “He warned me it was happening,” Nina shared with the Daily Record, “but I didn’t know it was going on the album. I knew there was a song.”

Maybe his warning is what’s allowing her to be so calm about the situation, because she added, “I’m not really bothered. It was quite a long time ago, and it’s a good song.”

Or maybe she’s so laid back because she penned a few songs of her own based on their relationship! “I have written quite a few songs about Ed that are on the ‘Peroxide’ albumm and people can probably guess which ones,” Nina revealed. “I’m not going to go into detail about it, but we are both songwriters, so naturally we were going to write songs about each other. It was a long time ago now, and we’ve both moved on.”
