The State Medical Examiner's office today revealed the cause of death for 15-year-old Nichole Cable, as "asphyxia due to compression of the neck." Kyle Dube, 20, has been charged with intentional or knowing murder and kidnapping in the case that has riveted people around the world.

Cable went missing on May 12, after telling her mother that she was going to the end of their road to meet a friend and have a smoke. She believed she was meeting a teenager named Bryan Butterfield, but the Facebook page on which she'd been communicating with someone turned out to be a fake.

Dube has been in jail since his arrest. He's due in court on Wednesday, June 19 to be arraigned for the murder of the Glenburn teen.
