New ‘Game of Thrones’ Photos Look to Spill Some Holy ‘Blood of My Blood’
Now that we’ve put that big Hodor twist (and hopefully its jokes) behind us, Game of Thrones has even more “Blood of My Blood” to spill by the looks of next Sunday’s photos. Arya seems ready to complete her first assassination, while a deadly public conflict with the High Sparrow looms, but is another big death waiting in the wings?
HBO released the first official photos from Sunday’s “Blood of My Blood,” the first of which see Arya back at the the mummers’ play, seemingly less conflicted about her target, Lady Crane (The Babadook star Essie Davis). Over in Kings’ Landing, Jamie rides in on a white horse to prevent Margaery’s penance walk, but what’s Tommen doing skulking in the shadows?
So reads the full “Blood of My Blood” synopsis:
An old foe comes back into the picture. Gilly (Hannah Murray) meets Sam’s (John Bradley) family. Arya (Maisie Williams) faces a difficult choice. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) faces off against the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce). Written by Bryan Cogman; directed by Jack Bender.
Every Season 6 episode to date has brought with it some significant death, so might Jaime’s conflict with the High Sparrow spill more blood this week? Has Margaery turned over a new leaf, despite what she’d said to her brother?
Check out the photos above, as well as the trailers below, and stay tuned for the latest Game of Thrones.
