My Chemical Romance have announced that they are planning a 10th anniversary release for their 2006 album, The Black Parade, on Sept. 23. However, the revelation was only made after speculation that the band, who broke up in 2013, were getting back together.

It began innocently enough when they posted the above video, called "MCRX," to their social media feeds on Wednesday (July 20). The clip features a flag with a black cross on a white background flying as the opening notes of “Welcome to the Black Parade” play. At the end, the date "9/23/16" appears before it fades out.

This led to many commenters and other websites wondering if this meant that a reunion was in the works. In response, the band put out the following message. "We've been really touched and blown away by the response to the teaser trailer," they wrote on their Facebook page. "We are not touring and there is no reunion planned - only a release for the anniversary of The Black Parade. Thanks so much for continuing to keep MCR in your minds and in your hearts."

My Chemical Romance released four studio and two live albums between 2002 and 2010. The Black Parade, their second-to-last studio effort, is a concept record about a person dying of cancer. It debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, with "Welcome to the Black Parade" peaking at No. 9 on the Hot 100 and topped the Alternative chart. Two other songs, "Famous Last Words" and "Teenagers," also charted.

Full details on the upcoming release have yet to be announced.
