In 1993, "Mrs. Doubtfire" was a huge smash. It grossed $219 million and was the second biggest grossing movie of the year. So why no sequel?

Apparently for several years in the twenty or so that have passed since the original, Robin Williams has been trying to develop, produce and star in a second installment of film that has become a classic that kids of all ages love, myself included. Well, the wait may finally be over! Fox 2000 has announced that they are prepping a "Mrs. Doubtfire" sequel.

In the first film, Robin Williams had to get into character as loveable housekeeper, Eughpehgenia Doubtifre, in order to spend more time with his three children.
