A 10-year-old boy, who was reported missing in Orrington, was found by police driving a stolen vehicle.

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office was called to Snow's Corner Road in Orrington at around 7:45 Sunday evening. Multiple agencies arrived in Orrington, to try and find the missing boy. Alerts were posted to Facebook pages for the Orrington community and the Orrington Trail Riders snowmobile club, which sent residents out in their cars, searching for the child.

The sheriff's office told WABI-TV that they received some information from a motorist who said they were driving behind a vehicle they believed was being operated by the child. When a Holden officer confirmed that report he attempted to pull the car over. The boy started to pull over but, when it appeared he wasn't going to stop, the officer boxed him in, causing the vehicles to collide.

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office says the car the boy was driving was stolen from Brewer. No one was hurt in the incident and the damage to the vehicles was minor. The 10-year-old was checked out at the hospital before being released to his parents. His name is not being released because he's a minor. There's no word on whether charges will be filed.
