Melissa Etheridge To Perform at the Collins Center in September

It was just announced that rock songwriter and musician Melissa Etheridge will be performing on the Collins Center stage in Orono this September.

The show is scheduled for Saturday, September 29th at 8 PM.  Tickets are $50 - $115 and plenty of VIP packages are available to choose from that include sound check entry, autographed posters and a photo op with Etheridge.

Etheridge started garnering attention in 1988 with her self-titled album and remained an up-and-comer with songs that included "Bring Me Some Water".  In 1992 she won her first Grammy then collected a second Grammy with her soulful album "Yes I Am", released in 1993.

Her big hits on this album include "I'm the Only One", "Come to My Window".  She is a Grammy award winning artist as well as an ASCAP award winning songwriter.

Etheridge's last album was released in late 2016 and is titled Memphis Rock & Soul.  The album has been highly acclaimed and features original songs as well as covers of Stax Record classics.

The album and tour features many Memphis musicians, to keep with the theme of the album.
