Man With a Camera Dives Into Active Volcano [VIDEO]

I thought it was daring when Sara the Intern rode a wild ride at the fair while wearing a GoPro camera. But this guy goes down into an active volcano with one! The video is dramatic and beautiful.

The Huffington Post quotes explorer and documentarian George Kourounis as calling it a "window in hell." The report says he stood so close to the edge of the volcano that caustic acid was splashing on his suit. Too close for me!

The video of Kourounis walking along the lip of the volcano were taken by explorer and filmmaker Sam Cossman. I think Cossman had the right idea. Keep a safe distance and let the other guy get close to the bubbling lava.
